When you wake up in a dream...

In the heart of Old San Juan, our open-air space welcomes artistic, adventurous travelers. Large windows face the open sea, rooftop cabanas are designed for a romantic, quiet escape, and the local nightlife, castles, beaches, and restaurants are just a short walk away. The floors are historic brick and the old wooden doors and windows are designed in classic Spanish style. Truly a unique island experience in the heart of a historic city.

The space features an indoor garden that allows rain and flowers to fall down into the green room. We have a small herb garden and a hammock to lounge in. During heavy rains, the sound of falling water echoes beautifully throughout the house. For an even more organic, outdoorsy experience, the rooftop has been renovated as a beautiful place to watch the sunrise, practice yoga, or sleep under the stars in the cabanas.

The building has 3 full bedrooms. One on the first floor with a queen bed, and another smaller bedroom with a full-sized mattress that opens at street level with an ocean view. The third bedroom is on the 2nd floor, also with a queen-sized mattress. (For additional sleeping arrangements: there is an extra twin-sized mattress and hammock on the 1st floor, a big comfy couch with a full-sized fold-out mattress, and a chaise lounge.)

The house has 3 bathrooms each with a shower, toilet, and sink. Old San Juan occasionally experiences water pressure interruptions, so we keep large water bottles available in the case of emergency.

The kitchen on the second floor has several electric burners, a small fridge, an array of kitchen utensils, and pots and pans which you are welcome to use.

With that said, the building is over 100 years old, so with the charm and character that comes with a rustic space, we like to be honest about it’s quirks:

Several windows on the rooftop are open-air. When it rains hard we get some extra water in the building, but the bedrooms are always comfortable and dry. We do not have have air conditioning but we do have an abundance of fans in all of the bedrooms to make it as cool as possible. Plus, the open air design of the house keeps a constant ocean breeze flowing.
With the open-air style, a few lizards and bugs inevitably find their way inside. We do our best to regularly spray and keep all food enclosed, and the bedrooms both have mosquito nets. We also have citronella candles as well as bug spray available.
Due to our location in the heart of the Capitol, there is often late night noise, early morning traffic, and occasionally some construction in the neighborhood. But we can promise that at night, the sound of the local coqui frogs can be heard through all rooms of the house, and with the candles lit, the house becomes a very special place. In the morning, the sound of birds chirping gently greets you from the trees behind our building.
We’re passionate about helping people enjoy their trip to Puerto Rico, so please let us know how we can help. We love to offer recommendations, so if you need quiet time to meditate, a romantic getaway, or are looking to go out dancing, let us know how we can make your experience better!

We’re excited to invite you into our space, and want you to feel at home, comfortable to do whatever brings you peace and happiness.
